I help teens, adults, and couples move from feeling stuck to feeling more connected, confident, and understood. I work with clients ages 13 and up and have a special passion for supporting adolescents, young adults, and couples at all stages of their relationship journey. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from the University of Northern Iowa.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years as a middle school social studies teacher. That classroom experience helps me connect quickly with teens and families, translate complex emotions into everyday language, and create a space where young people feel genuinely heard.

My clinical focus includes couples counseling and communication issues, premarital counseling and preparing for marriage, parenting support and family dynamics, teens and young adults dealing with school stress, identity concerns, and family conflict, as well as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges such as boundaries and conflict.

I use a warm, collaborative, and practical style grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

For couples and premarital work, I incorporate Gottman Method principles to help partners improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen trust and friendship.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe, nonjudgmental conversation where you can bring your whole self—emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. My goal is to work alongside you to identify what is not working, build on your strengths, and create clear, realistic steps toward change.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, our two sons, and our dog. Whether I am golfing, watching sports, or simply being outside with my family, I value connection, humor, and living life with intention—and I bring those same values into my work with clients.
